Last August 01, 2011 I was so excited, because I received a text message from my younger sister Gellan inviting me into a reception of a wedding ceremony at Delamar Swimming Pool at Timoga, Buru-un, Iligan City. Our friend Don-don got married earlier; he was the younger brother of my sister’s husband. I was not around at the ceremony because I was not home. I was out the at night prior to the said ceremony to watched the Mr. and Miss IIT 2011 and I slept in my friends boarding house near MSU-IIT. On the other hand, the wedding should take place on the last week of the month of September, but I was not informed that it was moved into an earlier date.
Anyway, aside from the new couple here are what excites me ^^
I was really longing to have a swim...for long already...It's just that, I am always busy facing with my laptop everyday and no one around that I can tag along for a swim. Conceptually, swimming pools are pretty simple -- they're just big basins of water. But on a hot summer day, a swimming pool can seem like the greatest invention known to man. Swimming pools come in all shapes and sizes. However, what is unique to this pool I visited is that, the pool has a lot to get busy with.

Delamar Swimming Pools is just one of the many pools in Timoga, but it is the biggest space in terms of size of the pool and accommodations. On the other hand, Timoga Swimming Pools, caters people from around the neighboring cities like Cagayan de Oro, Marawi, Lanao del Sur and even Lanao del Norte.
They also have their 16 ft. depth pool and a diving board which attracts individuals who are fun of acrobatic diving just like in the photos above. Definitely, I wouldn't dare do this. I am 100 percent sure that when I land on the water, I will be busy putting together my scattered bones...just kidding! Diving in this pool is considered safe because of the depth of the water...and I believe no one will dare to perform an acrobatic dive if he or she is not sure to do it. I have noticed that there are few first timer one's who dared to jump from the diving board, but definitely not how the way the guy in the photo executed. It was just a simple jump after performing a sign of the cross twice and a higher tone of shout before jumping hehehe ^_^
So, if you wanna experience to fly like a bird...try this. Anyway, there is a lifeguard nearby if anything happened he will be there to provide assistance. Anyway, no standby at the diving board and this diving board is open from 6:00AM until 3:00PM, after that it will be closed. Therefore, it is advisable that you come there earlier if you want to try it.
If there are for the adults, there are also for the young ones, where the little one's will have no danger of getting drowned into the water. Anyway its a water, therefore parents should not left their children swimming alone. It is best that you are always there while your children play with the water. You can always bring any swimming paraphernalia's for your young ones like, goggles and etc.
Here are features of the pool especially designed for the children, though adults can also play here with their children :)
The water is inviting, who can resist that? Definitely, not me!

Are you an adult or a teenager who do not know how to swim? then, you can swim and play with your friends in this area of the pool which is only 4 to 5 ft. depth only. I am sure you will enjoy just being here in this spot than anywhere of the pool.
Timoga swimming pools are cold springs that are free flowing...its really cold...crystal clear water...and really good to dip during summer or even when you just feel like swimming and when there are reasons and time for you to celebrate with your family members.
Families visited the pool to celebrate birthdays and even when a relative from other places or countries arrived. Conferences and acquaintance parties are also being held here. There are lots of tables and benches where a number of people or a group can settle down and have a little program and craze.
Surely, Timoga Swimming Pools are one of the must to visit when you are in Iligan City. Don't mis it...

Why settle for just drinking a bottle of cool clear spring water when you could be Swimming in it !
Reluctant to jump right in ? You don't even have to swim to enjoy the beautiful scenic overview and part of Iligan City looking out over Iligan bay from the covered table and chair area from the upper most pool. Bring a picnic lunch with you to further enhance the experience.
I really enjoy this place.
